Consortium:
Horn Concerto in Eb

(Ensemble: Grade 5 difficulty/Soloist: Grade 6+ difficulty)

"Horn Concerto in Eb" will be a 20 minute composition consisting of three movements.
There will be versions for Horn + Wind Ensemble, Horn + Chamber Orchestra, and Horn + Piano.
A PDF score demo (horn + wind ensemble) and mp3 audio demo (live recording: horn + piano) are provided below.

This concerto will be primarily grounded in traditional Western classical music, but it will also
reflect my Armenian ancestry and will be significantly influenced by Middle Eastern musical traditions.
The horn part will be heavily microtonal (a brief guide and suggested fingerings will be provided),
though the ensemble parts and piano reduction will not include any microtones.

  David Byrd-Marrow is the featured horn soloist and will give the first public performance:
David will be available for hire as a soloist for large ensembles: you may contact him about a possible performance.


This consortium is open to all horn players, wind ensembles, and orchestras

The consortium will be divided among three instrumentations:
Horn and Piano ($100 buy-in for horn players)
Horn and Wind Ensemble ($300 buy-in for wind ensembles)
Horn and Chamber Orchestra ($300 buy-in for orchestras)
